Privacy Policy

Row is a local-first app. Your lines never leave your device.

What we collect

Your daily lines and reminder settings are stored only in a local SQLite database and app settings on your device, and are never sent to a server. There is no account, so we never ask for your name or email.

Row Pro status checks

From version 1.1.0, Row Pro (subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase) is bought and restored through the Apple App Store, and RevenueCat checks your purchase status. When the app launches, it contacts RevenueCat to check whether you have Pro and which products are for sale, even if you have never made a purchase. For this, RevenueCat receives a random anonymous user ID created by the app, your purchase history (product, purchase date, and expiration date, if you made a purchase), the app version, your device and OS type, your store country, and the time of the request. Your name, email, and payment method are handled by Apple; neither we nor RevenueCat receive them. Your lines are never included, and none of this is used for ads or tracking. Your IP address may reach RevenueCat's servers as part of these requests. Version 1.0.0 makes none of these requests.

Third parties

Row uses no advertising networks, analytics tools, crash reporters, or any service that can see your lines. The purchase information above is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy (revenuecat.com/privacy). If you turned on Share With App Developers in your device settings, Apple may collect crash information and pass it to the developer under Apple's privacy policy.

App lock

If you turn on the Row Pro app lock, iOS handles Face ID, Touch ID, and passcode checks and tells the app only whether they succeeded. The app never receives your face or fingerprint data.

Notifications

If you turn on the evening reminder, iOS schedules it on your device. No remote push servers are involved. Notification permission is requested only when you turn it on.

Widgets

Widgets draw the lines the app saved on your device. The text shown in widgets never leaves your device either.

Export and import

Export as txt or csv anytime from Settings and send the file wherever you choose through the iOS share sheet. Import reads a csv file you pick, on your device.

Data deletion

Delete all records in Settings, or uninstall the app, to erase your lines from your device. No copy of your lines is kept on any server. The anonymous user ID and purchase history sent to RevenueCat are kept under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for purchase verification, refunds, and accounting. To have them deleted, email dev@indieway.xyz with the order number from your App Store receipt so we can find the purchase and ask RevenueCat to delete it.

Children

Row is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will appear here with a new date.
