Privacy Policy

Shift records and pay calculations are handled and stored only on this device.
There is no sign-in, and your records, wages, amounts, workplace names and notes are never sent anywhere.
Shift records
Workplaces (name, color, hourly wage and start date, pay period, payday, weekly holiday pay, deduction and workplace-size settings, last day), shifts (date, start and end time, breaks, holiday work, a per-shift wage, notes, and when each was logged or edited), absences and saved shifts are stored only in the app's storage on this device and never sent to a server.
Pay calculation
Weekly holiday pay, overtime, night and holiday premiums, and 3.3%, social insurance and income tax deductions are calculated on the device using the minimum wage, insurance rates and income tax table built into the app. Results are reference amounts from your own records, not a pay statement from your employer.
Automatic snapshots
So you don't lose records, a full snapshot is kept on this device once a day and before importing a backup, restoring, or deleting everything (the last 7). Snapshots never leave the device and are excluded from Android Auto Backup.
Backup files
Make backup file saves a file with all your records to a location you choose, and Send backup file hands it to the app you choose. The file contains your full records, so keep it somewhere safe. Importing only reads the file you pick on the device and sends nothing.
Work record and shared summaries
The work record PDF and pay summary contain the chosen workplace's period, daily shifts, estimated pay and deductions. You choose where to save or share them; the app never sends them anywhere itself. PDFs are kept briefly in the app cache and deleted the next time you open the app.
What stays on your device
Besides your records and snapshots, the app stores the date of your last backup file, when you dismissed the backup reminder, the calendar display mode, your last calculator inputs, and the dates and count of full-screen ads shown.
Android backup
So they follow you to a new device, your records and settings are included in Android Auto Backup. If device backup is on, they are stored encrypted in your Google account and we cannot see them. You can turn this off in Android Settings > Google > Backup.
Accounts
There are no accounts. We never ask for an email address or phone number, and there is no sign-in or sign-up. There is no payment feature in the app.
Ads
This app is supported by ads served by Google AdMob. In the process, Google collects your advertising ID (AAID), IP address, device information, and ad-related usage (how often ads were shown or tapped). Your IP address may be used to estimate a rough, country-level location. Your records and amounts are never used for ads or sent to Google. Ads are limited to the Teen (T) content rating. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
When you see ads
The calculator, shift records, the monthly pay screen and backup have no ads. A full-screen ad may appear when you tap “Back to calendar” after viewing monthly pay (never on the Back button); once shown it will not appear again for 3 minutes, and no more than twice a day. One ad is shown when you save or share the work record PDF, and you are told before you tap. If the ad cannot load or you skip waiting, you continue without it. A small banner sits below the calendar and the workplace and help lists, never on input, pay or calculator screens.
Turning off personalized ads
In Android Settings > Privacy > Ads you can delete your advertising ID or turn off personalization. Ads will still appear, but they will not be personalized.
Permissions
The app uses the internet connection and the advertising ID, to load ads and send usage statistics. It does not ask for camera, photo, storage, contacts, location, microphone or notification access. Backup files and PDFs are written only where you choose in the Android save dialog.
Usage statistics
To improve the app and place ads sensibly, we collect usage statistics with Google Analytics for Firebase: how often and how long the app is used, which features are used (for example, using the calculator, adding a shift, opening monthly pay, making a work record or backup file), ad impressions, device model, OS version, app version, country and language, plus a random per-install identifier and your advertising ID. Records, wages, amounts, workplace names, notes and times are not sent. We also use Firebase Remote Config to change ad settings without an app update, which sends the app version, OS version, country and language. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, nothing that identifies your device is stored unless you consent.
Third parties
Apart from Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase (see Usage statistics) we use no other analytics or crash reporting, and no external service can see your records.
Children and teens
Part-time Pay is not directed at children under 13, because Google AdMob collects an advertising ID, IP address and device information when ads are shown. So that working teens aged 16 and over can use it, ads are limited to the Teen (T) rating.
Calculations are for reference
Pay calculations and help articles follow general rules for reference and are not legal or tax advice. Actual pay depends on your contract and employer.
Deleting your data
You can delete shifts and absences one by one or several days at once, and everything under Settings > Delete all records (a snapshot is kept on the device first). Uninstalling removes records, snapshots, settings and cache. Copies in Auto Backup can be deleted in Android Settings > Google > Backup. Backup files you made must be deleted where you saved them. No copy remains on any server. You can delete your advertising ID yourself in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.
There is nothing for us to delete
This app has no server holding your data. Records on your device disappear when you delete them in the app or uninstall, and backups and your advertising ID are held by Google, so we can neither look them up nor delete them. Questions: dev@indieway.xyz
Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will update this page with a new date. Contact: dev@indieway.xyz. If you email us through Contact us in the app, we use your email address, your message, and the app and device details added at the end of the message (app version, Android version, device model, app language, theme and font size) only to reply to you.
